BMMK (“Børns Møde Med Kunst”) means “Children´s Meeting With Art”. It is an organization under the Cultural Agreement for North Jutland which supports art projects for children and young people. Professional artists visit schools and other institutions, helping to create the best cultural environment for children and young people in North Jutland.
In collaboration with BMMK, LAND-SHAPE is aiming to create Land Art workshops for children both at the festival and around the North Jutland municipalities, which will offer kids the opportunity to gain hands-on experience, to explore innovation, design and creative processes.
As the Minister of Culture suggested for the next cultural agreement period of 2017 - 2020, one of the focal points will be towards children, young people
Through these workshops, LAND-SHAPE focuses on two objectives:
Children´s creation of Land Art in direct relation to the Land Art festival area at Gateway, Blokhus
the opportunity for regional schools to use Land Art as a creative developer of the surroundings back at their schools and institutions.
