about North Jutland´s artists
Since 2014, LAND-SHAPE project has been collaborating with North Jutland artists in different art projects and events.
For the past two years, the initiative of involving the local artists has led to exhibitions, project development, networking, international partnership, branding, knowledge, festival projects and so on.
For the Land Art pilot festival in Hanstholm, 11 North Jutland´s artists and their invited guests represented 21 different art projects, a contribution that had the purpose to present and develop the Land Art concept in the region, to optimize the working possibilities through new networks, opportunities and practical examples.
In collaboration with BMMK, Aalborg University and Platform 4, 10 more regional projects have been realized during the event days.
The North Jutland´s artists took also part to the symposium together with other art-related researchers from Aalborg University, with speeches given from “Land Art Rebild” and “Nørrekær Biennalen” representatives.
For the next Land Art festival in 2016, which will take place in Blokhus, LAND-SHAPE is aiming to collaborate with North Jutland artists in the development of greater artworks. Four artists are invited along with a chosen partner to create site-specific works in Blokhus, in relation to a planned experience path. The regional artists will also collaborate with researchers from Aalborg University for developing methodology and reflections on the eligibility of Land Art today, as well as the perception of nature in connection with the festival theme.
